Disconnected: How Are New Technologies Distancing Us From Ourselves?

This critical reflection explores the emergence of Digital Health technologies within the Information Era, applying the Foucauldian concept of bio-power and calling upon technologies from Apple and the film Her, among others, as examples. In turn, examining whether Digital Health technologies can improve individual well-being or are in fact a side-effect of hyper-rational, capitalist ideology which ultimately leads to the breakdown of social relations.
